TESTIMONY I've walked with the Lord since childhood, and my relationship with Him has deepened over the years. After a near-death illness in 2012, I realized I wanted to spend every waking moment serving God. CALLING The Lord has placed me in various life circumstances, particularly with individuals facing mental health challenges. Through this journey, He has taught me about the intersection of mental health support and spiritual warfare, and He has called me to minister at this critical intersection. My experiences have uniquely qualified me to address issues that arise at the intersection of mental health and spiritual warfare through Hope Renewed Ministries.

Dorothy (Dorie) Nilles is a retired psychiatric nurse with over 35 years of experience in the western Chicago suburbs. An RN since 1972, she has held various clinical and office roles, including triage, management, patient and staff education, and mental health counseling. Dorie has also led support and education groups for NAMI and her church on critical topics such as grief, anger management, mental illness, and spiritual warfare, as well as initiatives through Hope Renewed Ministries that focus on providing mental health support.

Dorie founded Hope Renewed Ministries to provide mental health support and equip clergy, mental health professionals, and consumers through Biblical and clinical education. She collaborates with pastors and congregations in Kenya and Rwanda, building partnerships that empower communities toward independent and healthy lives through discipleship, spiritual warfare, and other initiatives.
